Effective home dental care and prevention
As dog owners, we often forget about dental prevention. Dogs need regular dental care, which must start early, when the teeth do not have much plaque, in order to prevent the formation of tartar.
Human food, especially sugar, should be avoided. A dog's teeth benefit from hard food much more than soft food, chewing bones, various dental treats and sticks for dogs, as well as apples and carrots in pieces, with which dogs clean their teeth naturally, are very useful supplements.
Treats should not be too hard, such as antlers and often bones, which can also break dogs' teeth.
The recommended regular care of the dog's teeth is the use of an enzyme toothpaste with which the teeth are brushed, even daily.
Instead of toothpaste, colloidal silver or coconut oil can also be used to rub the teeth.
For dogs that already had major dental diseases, just cleaning the teeth is not enough. In such cases, it is necessary to take special care of the gums with means that prevent the spread of bacteria.
If dental plaque becomes too hard to remove on your own, you should seek professional help to prevent major illnesses.
